Who can apply

Check if you qualify

Tick everything you already have. We approve about one in three applications, so it is worth being honest — it saves you time and it saves us a trip.

You The rider

Everything here is checked in person before a bike is released.

Guarantor 1 Someone who can pay

A working adult who agrees to cover your balance if you stop paying. Not someone who lives in your house.

Guarantor 2 Family from home

This one does not pay anything. They are the person we call, and they sign in front of your Chief or Assemblyman.

Why daily

Small every day beats big once a week

You earn daily, so you pay daily. GH₵67 comes out of a day you have already worked, instead of a lump sum hanging over you at the end of the week.

It matches how you earn

GH₵67 out of roughly GH₵175 in fares. You keep the rest the same day. No saving up, no borrowing on Friday to meet a Saturday payment.

One slow day is not a problem

We count the days you owe, not the days you missed. Fall a day behind and catch up tomorrow — nothing happens, and nobody calls you.

You can see it moving

Every payment gets a receipt within 24 hours. Ask for your balance any day and we tell you exactly how many days are left.

Sundays are yours

We collect Monday to Saturday only. Sunday you rest, service the bike, or ride and keep every cedi of it.

Step by step

From application to ownership

Seven stages. The first five take about two weeks if your papers are ready. The sixth is the day you ride away.

01

You apply

Fill the form on this page or walk into the office. Tell us what you have and what you are still gathering. We will tell you honestly whether to continue.

Day 1
02

Bring your papers

Ghana Card, DVLA licence, police certificate, three months of MoMo statements, and the contact details of two people who can speak for your riding. We check the Ghana Card against NIA in front of you.

Day 2–4
03

We visit your house

An officer comes to the address you gave us. We meet someone from the household, take a photo of the building, and record the location. If the address is not real, the application stops here.

Day 4–7
04

We meet your guarantors

Both of them, separately, without you in the room. We explain in the language they prefer exactly what they are signing and what happens if you stop paying. They ask questions until they are satisfied. Then they sign.

Day 6–10
05

We give you an answer

Approved, approved with conditions, or declined. If we decline you, we tell you the reason and what would need to change. Many riders come back six months later and get approved.

Day 10–14
06

You sign and you ride

You read the agreement with us, line by line. You get a signed copy the same day. We hand over the keys, insurance papers, and helmet, and record the odometer. Your first GH₵67 is due the next working day.

Handover day
07

18 months, then it is yours

Pay GH₵67 each working day and bring the bike in once a month for a 15-minute check. When the last payment clears, we transfer the registration into your name at DVLA within 14 days and hand you the original documents.

Month 18

Before you apply

Things we want you to know

We would rather tell you now than have you find out in month four.

What you pay for

Fuel, servicing, oil, tyres, brake pads, chain, bulbs, and battery. Any repair under GH₵500. Traffic fines and union dues.

What we pay for

Any repair over GH₵500 caused by a fault that was already in the bike. Insurance premiums, which you repay with your weekly amount.

You can pay early

Pay more than GH₵67 on any day and the term shortens. No penalty, no extra charge. Many riders finish months early.

If you fall behind

We count how many days you owe, not how many you missed. One day behind is nothing — a slow day or a sick day. At 2 days we message you. At 5 we call. At 8 we visit your house and give you 14 days in writing to clear it. At 22, if nothing has changed, we call your guarantors and recover the bike.

If the bike disappears

Selling, pledging, or hiding the bike is theft under the Criminal Offences Act. We report it to the police the same day. This is not a threat, it is just what happens.

Once you pass halfway

After you have paid more than half of GH₵31,423, the law says we cannot take the bike back without a court order. That protection is yours automatically.

Receipts, always

Every payment gets a receipt within 24 hours. Ask for your full statement any time and we give it within 7 days, free. If we ever fail to give receipts, you may stop paying until we do.

Application

Start your application

Two minutes. We call you back within two working days.

By sending this you agree that we may call you, verify your Ghana Card with the NIA, and visit the address you give us. We do not share your details with anyone outside Tric.
